70cl / 40% / Gordon & MacPhail – This Dalwhinnie 1970 was bottled in 1992 by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice range. It shows beeswax, honey and dried herbs on the nose with touches of orchard fruit and gentle smoke. The palate brings pepper, pear and caramel, alongside liquorice, mint and herbal tea.

Like the others in the range this is ‘Double Matured’, receiving a second bout of cask time after the initial maturation.
