70cl / 51.9% / Brave New Spirits – An addition to the Whisky Heroes series, Captain Shug is a 13-year-old Teaninich matured in an amontillado sherry cask. Rarely seen in whisky maturation, the amontillado imparts a softer influence than the more common oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. This leads to a malty dram with notes of apples, pears, and citrus, complimented by a spicy finish.
