70cl / 50% / Distillery Bottling – Ageing in a combination of bourbon barrels and French oak wine casks brings layers of complexity to this intensely smoky Islay single malt. Sweet peat and maritime aromas of seaweed and rockpools dominate on the nose, before typically Port Charlotte notes of shellfish and sea herbs. Time in the glass reveals a softer side with touches of citrus and tropical fruit that bring a balancing freshness.
