70cl / 59.5% / Distillery Bottling – Octomore, the annual exploration of peat from the Islay distillery Bruichladdich is returned! 17.2 was made with the same mainland Scottish barley peated to 81.0ppm as 17.1, but its maturation took place in a mixture of ex-bourbon and ex-port casks. Sweet dark fruit and roast chestnut show the impact of the port, integrated with the peat that rolls along in a wave of barbecue and charred spices.
