70cl / 55.8% – The inaugural barrel-strength release of Michter’s Sour Mash Kentucky Whiskey. Neither bourbon or rye, this is a whiskey that brings mellowness without the excessive sweetness bourbon can fall into and spice without the aggression of some ryes. Notes of cherries, plums, caramel, cocoa and baking spices, with a little malt. Bigger than the standard release, but certainly not unwieldy for it.
