70cl / 46% / Compass Box – The Peat Monster from top blender Compass Box has a staunch following by Scotch whisky fans. It comprises Islay whisky from Caol Ila and Laphroaig, alongside a small portion of malt from the Highlands. Don’t let the monster on the label fool you, this dram has only a moderate level of peat but carries with it a pitch-perfect balance. You can expect notes of brackish water, charred orchard fruit, bonfire smoke and touches of tropical fruit and soft florals on the palate.
