70cl / 48.8% / Distillery Bottling – Trudernish marks the return of a 15-year-old to Ardbeg’s permanent range for the first time since 2020. A delight, Trudernish shows the development of the distillery’s famously smoky character over a longer period, as the peat subsides and softens somewhat for 15 years maturation in bourbon, new charred oak and oloroso sherry casks. In return, it gains creamy vanilla notes and a greater complexity, but is still unapologetically an Ardbeg.
